The stock market has come hot out of the gate in 2020, sending major indexes to all-time highs. After hefty gains in 2019, most Wall Street strategists predicted only modest gains this year. The quick rise to start the year is forcing them to reconsider.
The S&P 500 index notched its latest record on Monday, and could close at another one on Wednesday should its 0.3% morning rise hold. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq Composite were both on pace for their own all-time high closes as well.
